I’ve been in insurance for over 15 years and I’m still trying to figure out why Medicare has to be so confusing. Turning 65 is supposed to be a good thing! You’ve paid most of your life waiting for this benefit and BAM! You’re confused and lost! And it’s not just any coverage, it’s the most important coverage you have. Your health!
What I’ve learned is not to try so hard to understand the complete monster but to understand what you need now and cover for what could happen. You have to know the questions to ask and the people to contact and be ready to tell your life story. Try not to go by “what my friend said” or “what my friend has”. Everyone’s story is unique, you need the BEST coverage for YOU! Focus on that and things won’t be so confusing.
